Building in H+H system

Building in H+H system is very fast and easy.

A wall can be built of aerated autoclaved concrete blocks of various execution of front smooth surfaces and surfaces profiled in tongue and groove system. Depending on execution exactness, we build smooth blocks using regular mortar or light thermal protective mortar.
The blocks of high execution exactness, both smooth and profiled ones, are designed for building on thin-layer adhesive mortars. A building method of H+H PPB blocks of TLMB exactness on adhesive mortar differing from building on regular mortar is presented below:

Damp insulation should be applied on levelled foundation. A first layer of blocks should be built on a base of regular cement and lime mortar applied by means of trowel. Next layers of the wall are built on H+H thin-layer mortar.

The contents of a bag with adhesive should be poured to a container with a measured amount of water recommended by a producer, than the mixture must be mixed by means of a mechanical mixer in order to achieve homogenous liquid mass without clods.

Top surface of layers of wall elements should be levelled by a special levelling float, than carefully cleansed from particles and remains after milling by means of brush. Using this float, we can also remove unevenness from vertical surfaces.

A layer of adhesive mortar of 1-3 mm thick is applied on cleansed surface. The adhesive mortar should be applied by means of notched trowel or by means of special trowel (box) adjusted to the width of built elements.  The blocks are not wet by water when building on thin-layer adhesive mortars.

Control of correct placement of wall elements in corners of a building and along the walls should be carried out by means of spirit level and extended rope. Placement unevenness of individual wall elements should be corrected by means of a rubber hammer.

Wall elements profiled in tongue and groove system built in a layer are connected together only by means of tongue and groove. Their side surfaces are profiled in such a way that this connection ensures an appropriate wall durability and tightness. The adhesive mortar is applied only on connections of blocks in wall corners.

Than we build next layers of the wall repeating actions executed in building former layers.

At building the blocks in tongue and groove system, the surfaces with grooves should be directed outside. Before plastering these surfaces are filled up by special mortar, so called repair mortar; losses and damages which can appear during building are also filled up by so called repair mortar. Thanks to usage of adhesive mortars and special tools designed for applying the mortar, work time can be shortened seriously and use of adhesive can be optimized.

The blocks can be cut manually or be means of electric band saw in order to obtain a request size.

Building external and internal load-bearing walls it is necessary to pay attention to a correct connection of these elements. The external wall and the internal partition wall can be connected by typical joint by means of perpendicular connection using connectors of zinc plated steel.
